about

This album was also released by Noisy Arcade Netlabel: www.noisyarcade.com/arc-51-starpilot-yesterdays-tomorrow/

“Yesterday’s Tomorrow would be a big feat for anyone. This double-full-length album contains 40 tracks spanning a wide variety of different electronic styles. Each “disc” of this colossal digital release contains 20 tracks, and you don’t see many people with 20-track full lengths to begin with. These tracks were undoubtedly made during a period of great expansion in experimentation by Starpilot. Starpilot is well known as a chiptunist, but here we see him venturing into other territories like analog synthesis, fm synthesis, breakbeat, ambient, outer cultural sounds, chiptune, glitch, IDM, and more that you’d rather hear than see me list. The track Prometheans is a blend of cultural instrument-mimicking synths with a futuristic sound and it’s one of the more refreshing tracks I’ve heard as of late. The album opens up with some chiptune familiarities blended with other styles of retro electronic music, and then progresses into beautiful weirdness and blends of ranging styles. Go download this album now and make sure to spend a lot of time with it.” - Noisy Arcade
